Merry Christmas!

IMG_1717

Cecelia as Merida from Brave.IMG_1700 IMG_1701  Don’t mess with me…it’s been a long morning.IMG_1704 IMG_1709 Lance and Mitchell enthralled with Cecy’s singing Rapunzel doll.  Yeah…here’s Lance with some of his toys now.  Just so we all feel better :)

IMG_1703

IMG_1713It warmed up to 30 degrees today.  Cecelia and Lance wanted to shovel like Daddy.  Only Daddy made an igloo with his snow, while Cecelia ate hers, and Lance dropped his.   Lance took off his gloves to hold his shovel better.  Mommy put them back on.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

Hawaii

So, here we are one month later, and I’m finally getting pictures up.

IMG_1183

Real flower leis, made by my sister and her kids.  They smelled pretty too.  And look, no coats!

Your kid likes superheros?  Well, my kid eats them for breakfast!

IMG_1456

One of the only times Cecelia was happy in the water.  It also happened to be the beach where jellyfish were lurking and we had to get out of the water.

Check out that tree trunk!  Pretty, huh?

My crown for winning a dance competition.  Yeah, I’m that good!  Okay, maybe not, but it was fun/funny.

Cecelia still pretends to fly to Hawaii, and sit in Aunt Valerie’s car, just like this.

IMG_1527

Hawaiian Shaved Ice.  My favorite.  It got Mitchell’s attention too :).

Lance Edition 2.0

Lance just had his birthday last week.  He’s now officially two, as opposed to me rounding him up to two, pretty much since Mitchell was born.  Here are some birthday highlights of our delightful little boy:

Lance helping make his own birthday cake.

IMG_1291

Lance’s finished cake.  I only realized after the fact that I used to wrong blue car!  And I was doing so well at my Disney movie authenticity…

Feeding Mitchell.

Getting ready to eat with friends.

Cars!

Lance actually sharing cars!

Playing with Lance’s toys the next morning.

Lance’s special present.  You can eat them and apparently make towers with them.  Why do I buy blocks when the kids can stack food?

Camouflage

First off, I never won any spelling bees.  It took me several tries and one internet search to spell my post title today. Camouflage, camouflage, camouflage.  I think I’ve got it now :)

So, it’s fall here.  And will be winter any day now.  Snow’s in the forecast for the weekend.  Anyone want to come visit?  Moving on, here are the pretty fall pictures as we played in the leaves yesterday.

IMG_1192  Get Daddy! IMG_1182

Notice how it’s okay to burry Daddy, but not to hit him with a stick.  Cecy’s got his back! IMG_1185

IMG_1204

Nobody escapes having leaves thrown at them today, especially the helpless, immobile little brother…

IMG_1206

So, that’s our fall.  Enjoy it while it lasts!

July: Compare and Contrast

IMG_0991

One of these is Lance, one is Mitchell.  Any guesses on which is which?

First pudding cups.  Both approximately 21 months old.  Notice who ate messier?  I was surprised.  Maybe it’s really a question of who loves pudding more?

IMG_0981

“Look, Mom!  I fed the cat for you!”

IMG_0993

I asked Cecy to take off her dress up and put it away for naptime.  Here’s what she did.  It’s apparently a “dress person.”

IMG_0996

And here’s what Cecy does when she can’t sleep.

Keith did a lot of home improvement projects last month.  Like putting in a window about where he’s gesturing.  As you can see, Lance helped.

Silly Cecy

So, my sister, Cassandra, sent Mitchell the cutest onesie ever.  See it modeled below.

IMG_0899Cecy likes to dress up her animals before her nap, and trade clothes with them during her nap.  Today, her cat was wearing the Mike onesie.  Here’s what I found when she got up…

IMG_0936Who knew that an almost four year old could fit into 0-3 month clothes.  I could be saving a whole lot of money by just having all three kids share :)

Why I Don’t Blog Much

1. Mitchell likes milk.IMG_0879

2. I like to read.  Sorry to say, I like it better than responding to my sisters’ requests for up to date photos…

Here are some must read books for you:

Divergent by Veronica Roth

The Springsweet by Saundra Mitchell

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Of Poseidon by Anna Banks

Welcome Caller, This is Chloe by Shelley Coriell

3. This is Lance.  Lance likes to press all of the buttons on the computer.  Particularly the one that turns the power on and off.  Therefore I have to keep him away from the computer, and to do that, I stay away from it myself.IMG_09134. I have an iPad!  Ah, let the full bragging in that statement sink in.  Okay, I’m not really bragging, but I do love my iPad.  I love being online without Lance pushing buttons.  But, I don’t have all of my pictures loaded there, so I don’t blog that way.  But I do have so much fun!

5. It’s summer!  Today that means it’s raining, but normally we’re outside as much as we possibly can be.  Until I see mosquitoes, then I run for cover…and take the kids too.

6. This is Cecelia.  She doesn’t really interfere, but she needed a picture here too.  So, here she is making what I now call her “graduation face” because this is what she was doing for half of the ceremony.  I’m glad she learned something in pre-school this year!  IMG_0851

7. Occasionally, I am productive and do things like cook or clean.  Cleaning, not so much.

8. Sometimes other people cook and then I am obligated to try their food, or cookies.  Such a burden…

IMG_0911(Cecy with our cousin Jessica, who’s here with us for the summer)

9. I don’t have cute little hamsters rowing to offset my electric bill, and therefore leave the computer off most of the time.

10. Rabbits burrow into the house wanting for use my bathtub for a pool party and they’re hard to say no to.IMG_0803

See, wasn’t that a good list of excuses?  Now, I need to go make my list for why I don’t clean the house: cut (insert cleaning for blogging)…copy…paste…all done!
