Baby Lance

 

Here’s our little one!  Meet Lance Stanley Clark.  Born on Friday, October 22nd, after a short, but very painful delivery (they did not give me my drugs).  He was 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and 20 inches long.

With the lack of drugs, my recovery was much faster.  I bounced back really fast, and we came home on Sunday.  I still missed my epidural though and will definitely be demanding one more firmly next time! :)

Keith stayed at the hospital with me in the comfy chair (below).  We spent a lot of time with Lance, played Settlers of Catan (a Risk-like board game), and watched Cecelia meet and ignore baby Lance.

Boo Costume

My goal for the summer was to make Cecelia’s Halloween costume, Boo, from the movie Monsters, Inc.  I found pictures and descriptions on www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com.  I was lulled into a false sense of security by the disclaimers of: “this would have been a lot easier if I could sew,” and things like that.  All in all, it wasn’t too bad, but if I make costumes again, a pattern would be nice :).
