We just (two weeks ago) returned from the glorious state of Arizona. It was a lovely 70 degrees there, and –50 here in Alaska on our return. I timed our vacation well because it didn’t get above –20 the whole time we were gone. Anyway, here are some of our vacation highlights:
Playing outside without coats, boots, snow pants, etc.
Riding a camel, like in Olivia and the Missing Toy by Ian Falconer, Cecy’s favorite book.
Getting “pretty toes.”
Seeing Disney on Ice with Katrina. Cecy asked the next day if she could go see her “special show” again. I’m not sure what she enjoyed more: the glee of walking out the door while Lance stayed with Grandpa and cried that we were leaving, the snow cone in a Jessie cup, or the show itself.
Annoying the fish at the Sea Life Center.
Swinging, we definitely liked swinging. Plus, Daddy came! Keith got to come out to Phoenix for a training the last week we were there.
Sightseeing, which for Keith is looking at mines and large canyons. For Cecy it meant climbing on rocks.
A swimming pool! What is that doing outside? I thought they only had those inside hotels.
Coming home again. It’s now 30 degrees give or take, and Daddy built us a snow cave. All of my childhood snow playing fantasies are now complete.

I'm glad you were able to have such a warm and fun looking vacation. I cannot believe that there is that huge of a difference in temperature. I get cold below 60. You are tough!
I am glad you finally posted pictures for your fav sister. :)
